The students of the Grade 11 ESP30 Presentation and Speaking Skills course received professional guidance and feedback from talented media personalities, Ainka Will and Khary Roberts.
Both Ainka and Khary have extensive experience working in public speaking, reporting, presenting and TV. They also attended the students’ final speeches at the Maple Leaf Speaks event - their culminating project.
The guests expressed that they were proud to see the evident progress during the semester from topic selection to speech development to practice sessions to fantastic final product.
We thank them for all their support!

Congratulations to our Maple Leaf athletes who competed recently on the Trinidad and Tobago Beach Volleyball Tour at Couva Sand Court in the U21 and U23 divisions. 🏐

In the U21 division, Bianca Perkins and her partner, Sadie Torkar, dominated the competition to claim the championship title, while Maple Leaf's Alix Pantin and Lily Tang delivered a strong performance to finish 5th overall. In the U23 division, Bianca and Sadie continued their impressive run, earning a bronze medal with a 3rd-place finish, while Alix and Lily secured 4th place.

Congratulations to all four athletes on their outstanding performances and for representing Maple Leaf with pride and excellence. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the Maple Leaf Robotics Team at the recent NIHERST FIRST Tech Challenge, held at NESC, Pt. Lisas.

Representing Maple Leaf International School with excellence, the team secured two major honors:

🏆 Inspire Award – Overall (The competition's highest overall honor)

The Inspire Award is a testament not only to our robot's performance but to our team's dedication to teamwork, innovation and engineering excellence throughout the season.

On 12 June, the Aerial Arts Academy hosted Aerial

On 12 June, the Aerial Arts Academy hosted Aerial Airlines, an absolutely breathtaking aerial silks show. The talent on display was exceptional, with performers transforming high-flying drops, wraps, and dance choreography into pure art. We are incredibly proud of all our Maple Leaf girls who performed and worked backstage to make the production a success. 🤸🏼‍♀️👯🏼‍♂️

Balancing schoolwork with the time, dedication, and physical strength required to train on silks is no small feat, but they rose to the challenge brilliantly. Seeing them soar with such confidence and strength was the highlight of the evening.
Congratulations to the girls and everyone behind the scenes for putting on such an unforgettable show!

Each family of instruments was introduced and demonstrated, allowing students to experience the sounds and roles they play in music. Congratulations to our students who took part in the Trinidad and Tobago Triathlon Federation's event at the National Aquatic Centre in Couva last Sunday.
Three of our four athletes tackled their first-ever triathlon and did an amazing job, while Naeem Noel secured a fantastic 3rd-place finish in his age group! 🥉💪

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs (MSYA), in

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs (MSYA), in collaboration with the Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago and the Embassies/High Commissions of the USA, Canada, and Mexico, officially launched the MSYA Football Fiesta 2026 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on June 10, 2026.

Hosted by Minister Phillip Watts, the event joined global FIFA World Cup 2026 celebrations by using sport to inspire youth, strengthen diplomatic ties, and promote social development.

The launch featured local cricketing and football legends, and a youth tournament showcasing local schools representing the World Cup host nations—including Maple Leaf International School (Canada), the International School of Port of Spain (USA), Naparima College (Trinidad and Tobago), and a Latin American youth squad (Mexico).

Our Kindergarten students have been exploring the "Community Helpers" unit. They recently visited Sunnyview Vetcare Services, where they interacted with animals such as dogs, guinea pigs, and even a snake! 🐕🐍

They wrapped up the unit with a Show and Tell where students presented their favourite community helper. We were wowed by the amazing presentations; the children have grown in confidence while developing their public speaking and oral presentation skills. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The Grade 7 Visual Arts class recently enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to the Emperor Valley Zoo with Ms. Ali as part of their ongoing collage project focused on the theme of unity in art.
Students explored the zoo and gardens, capturing photographs of animals, plants, textures, colours, and natural surroundings to inspire their creative compositions.

The visit also provided valuable reference material for an upcoming art piece, encouraging students to observe details and patterns within nature.

The experience was both educational and inspiring, allowing students to combine creativity with real-world observation in developing their artistic ideas.
