Maple Leaf Students in the Spotlight
A Trinidad and Tobago Invitational Under-16 cricket team including Maple Leaf Grade 10 students Jordan Warner and Cavan Byrne, who both play for Queen’s Park Cricket Club, headed off to a Tri-Nation Series in Australia, where they faced their hosts and a team from India.
The T&T Invitational team were scheduled to play several series including T20 and 50-overs, and ended their tour on a winning note. Playing against a South Australia Under-17 team in the city of Adelaide, the T&T boys won by 24 runs and against their older opponents and playing in front of coaches from the Darren Lehman Academy and the South Australia youth cricket coaches.
