Board of Directors

Natasha Kelshall-Pantin – Chairperson

Natasha is a lawyer who had her own practice at Chancery Chambers as a sole practitioner in Civil, Constitutional and Industrial Relations Law.  In 2010, Natasha closed her practice as her family continued to grow. Natasha is a mother of three, with one son having graduated from Maple Leaf, one daughter in Grade 8 and a son in Grade 6. She currently splits her time between freelance legal work, construction project management/Project Care charity construction and lifestyle coaching.

Natasha served on the Maple Leaf PTA as Assistant Secretary before joining the Board in 2014.

James Camacho (Sagicor Representative)

James Camacho is the Vice President of Pensions of the Southern Caribbean at Sagicor Life Inc. He is also a Member of various Committees within the Sagicor Group of Companies. He is an actuary by profession specializing in Pensions for over 40 years. He is currently a Director of the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Companies and a Director of Maple Leaf International School.

Adrienne D’Arcy

Adrienne D’Arcy is a Partner in EY’s Assurance Service Line in the Trinidad and Tobago office. She has more than twenty years of audit and accounting experience, serving large domestic, regional and international clients in the financial services industry.  This includes working with companies in the insurance, banking, asset management and pension funds sectors. Adrienne is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) of the UK and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT). She is currently a Council Member of ICATT and Chair of the Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee of ICATT.

A proud mother of three and wife she believes in work/life balance.  She is also a former national athlete and gives her time to worthy causes including positions on the audit committee and boards of other religious and educational institutions. Adrienne is a firm believer that when parents and families get involved in their children’s education, that our schools perform better and our children receive a better educational experience.

Clive Fletcher

Clive Fletcher is a seasoned retail professional with a strong background in IT. He graduated from the San Francisco School of Art and spent his childhood in Asia and The Pacific Basin. Clive has lived in Trinidad for the past 26 years and is married with four daughters, two of whom attend Maple Leaf International School. In his free time, Clive indulges his love of photography, with a focus on sports and street photography. He also loves to travel and explore new places.

John Herde

John Herde is currently the owner of PMK Foods which focus is food distribution. He has twenty-seven years of Restaurant, Retail and Food Distribution expertise at an executive level. His areas of expertise are sales, marketing, logistics, retail and manufacturing operations.

John currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Ryerson University (Toronto, Canada).

John is a father of three, with one son having graduated from Maple Leaf, and two daughters who currently attend Maple Leaf International School.

Kent Jeary

Kent Jeary graduated from University of Toronto in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and Philosophy of Logic with a minor in Math and is currently the head of Software Development for MCS Software Ltd. working with his team of programmers to design and develop products.  He has been providing computer-related services for over 30 years, with experience in networking systems and developing a multitude of software applications for use in Marina management, Customs and Logistics companies.

Cynetta Lai Leung

Cynetta Lai Leung began her career in banking, having obtained an honours degree in Economics.  She subsequently studied law and is currently an Attorney-at-Law by profession.  Cynetta is a Senior Partner in the Commercial Department of Fitzwilliam, Stone, Furness-Smith and Morgan.  She joined the firm as an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Department where she practiced as an instructing attorney and was exposed to multiple areas of general civil law practice. Cynetta has always had a keen interest in corporate/commercial work and now has an active corporate/commercial practice.

She also facilitates a Corporate Law Clinic for Year II students at the Hugh Wooding Law School.

Cynetta is new to the Maple Leaf family and is the proud mother of a Grade 6 student who joined the school in September of this academic year.  Cynetta is looking forward to making a meaningful contribution to the Board to ensure the long-term sustainability of Maple Leaf.

Giselle Thompson

Giselle Thompson is the Vice President Corporate Operations for BP Trinidad and Tobago. Giselle is responsible for the management of the company’s external facing strategy and reputation. This includes the management of the company’s internal and external communications, delivery of the company’s sustainability strategy and overseeing all interactions between BPTT and external stakeholders including the government, business partners, civil society groups and the community. In addition to her substantive role, Giselle is also the senior leadership champion for delivery of the company’s NetZero strategy ensuring the efficient integration of cross functional activites to deliver the company’s emission reduction goals and also supporting industry and country efforts to successfully navigate the energy transition. 

Giselle first joined BPTT in 2006 as Corporate Brand Manager and was promoted to VP Communications and External Affairs in 2007 and then to VP Corporate Operations in 2013.

Prior to joining BPTT, Giselle spent eight years in the pharmaceutical industry working with GlaxoSmithKline where she held senior marketing positions in their Caribbean and Central American operations.

Giselle holds an MBA from the University of Cumbria UK and an honours degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and was awarded their distinguished alumni award in 2014. 

In addition to her duties at BPTT she is member of the boards of Ansa Bank, the Mayaro Initiative for Private Enterprise Development, AmCham and Maple Leaf International School.
