Math Contests
On Wednesday, April 15th, our grade 12 students will write the Euclid contest from the University of Waterloo. The contest is a 2.5 hour written contest that challenges their ability to solve challenging problems. Then some grades 9 – 11 students will write a 75 minute long answer contest on Thursday, April 16th.
Some keen math students in grades 9 – 11 took part in the annual Pascal, Cayley and Fermat math contest from the University of Waterloo on February 24th. Contestants are given 1 hour to answer as many of the 25 multiple choice problems as they can. This year we had five students achieve scores above the contest average, with one student scoring in the top 25% of contestants writing the Cayley, grade 10 contest.
