University of Waterloo Math Contest – Congrats to our participants!
The University of Waterloo’s Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing develops and administers many internationally recognized contests to help to inspire the next generation of students to develop an interest in and love for mathematics and computer science. The Pascal, Cayley and Fermat Contests are an opportunity for students to have fun and to develop their mathematical problem solving ability.
We had four students write the 2017 Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat Math Contest. They all achieved either a certificate or an award.
In Grade 9, Adam De Labastide received a medal and a Certificate of Distinction and Mateo Rodriguez received a Certificate of Participation.
In Grade 10, Adam Herrera received a medal and a Certificate of Participation.
In Grade 11, Matthew De Labastide received a medal and a Certificate of Participation.
Congratulations to these gentlemen! Thank you to Mr. Sookhan, our Secondary Math teacher, for his continued work with the University of Waterloo which gives our students the opportunity to take part in this Math competition.
