Maple Leaf Library Book Drive 2015
In support of Let’s Read, the Maple Leaf Library will be holding a book
drive to assist in providing library books for primary schools in the rural areas of Trinidad. This book drive takes place from the 2nd to the 30th of November 2015.
Let’s Read, approved by the Trinidad & Tobago Ministry of Education is an organization dedicated to helping to develop children’s reading skills in primary schools in our rural areas. Additionally, Let’s Read works to establish and outfit classroom and school libraries within these schools.
We are asking for donations of books suitable for the age group of 4 to 12 years. These can be picture books, board books and junior fiction and non-fiction books. Please do not donate any encyclopedia, textbooks or any young adult or adult materials.
With every book donated
you can earn a point for your school House. House Book Bins will be set up in the library for each house member to place their donated children’s books.
