On Saturday, May 23rd, ten high school students received training in basic First Aid and CPR. They demonstrated skills necessary to rescue adults, children or infants who were choking or needed CPR. Anti-Bullying Fund Raiser
On Friday, May 15th, The school had a dress down against bullying. The purpose of the event was to increase awareness about bullying and promote kindness. Students wore blue and pink, which are the anti-bullying colours. The school raised $950 for the Hope Shelter for Battered Women in Chaguanas.
On Thursday, May 14 the Grade 12 Food and Nutrition class made a visit Wa Samaki, the home of Erle Rahaman-Noronha. He has taken the faltering citrus plantation that he purchased 15 years ago and turned it into a model for permaculture. On Wednesday 13th May the Grade 11 art students went to Seerique in Chaguaramas to create their own personal interpretation of a clay house. Students got their hands dirty they as they learned to mould the walls and roof of their house and add details to give it style and realism.
